Prof. Sengar completed his LL.B.; PG Diploma in Criminology; LL.M. (International law & Criminal law); LL.D. (Environmental law & Business) from Lucknow University. He is a Senior Fulbrighter at The George Washington University Law School, Washington DC and SICI Post-Doctoral Fellow at Canadian Institute of Resources Law, University of Calgary, Canada. Presently serving as Senior Professor of Law at IIM Lucknow, he served as the Director of prestigious Indian Law Institute,
New Delhi and as the Vice Chancellor of Mohanlal Sukhadia University. A renowned specialist in environmental law, contracts management and arbitration Dr. Sengar has more than 27 years of academic, administrative and professional experience at various prominent institutions in the country and overseas. Dr. D S Sengar has contributed papers/articles on contemporary legal issues in various conferences/journals of national and international repute. At IIML, he taught course on Legal Aspects of Management to MBA, ABM and PhD (Fellow) students and directed their group assignments on contractual issues in national and international business. He has also been Chairman of the Social Initiatives Committee (Bhavishya) at IIM Lucknow. Dr. Sengar was instrumental in implementing IIML’s initiative to Adopt–a-Village Scheme. Due to his efforts the village Chakarpurwa is now enjoying the facility of electricity.
